Maggie Williams - 4th Runner-Up - Photogenic Winner
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
I wouldn’t change my name because Maggie means a strong, independent girl who cares for others. She laughs, smiles and loves everyone. A girly tom-boy that isn’t afraid to play football with fake nails on. She’s very understanding & gives awesome advice. Her inner beauty is as great as her outer beauty. She will give you a hug every time she sees you, & with each hug, you know what a great friend you have.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. I love Sundays because each week gives us a new beginning, and a new chance to do something spectacular. No matter what happened last week, there is always another opportunity to impact others around you positively and it all starts with a Sunday.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
My favorite childhood movie was The Wizard of Oz! I loved Dorothy so much that I wore ruby red slippers to kindergarten every day! I even dressed up as Dorothy for three consecutive Halloweens! I was a dedicated fan to say the least, and today I still enjoy taking a stroll down the yellow-brick road. Remember- “You’ve always had the Power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself.” Glinda, the Good Witch.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
Volleyball! I play for my high school team and love the physical and mental challenges of the game. I enjoy being able to compete with a team that pushes each other to succeed. It helps that I am 5’8” and play the Middle and Outside Hitter positions. The discipline it takes to be a successful volleyball player helps me in other facets of my life. I can show my competitive side while still having fun.
